The Annual Planet Youth Conference 2023: Creating a better future for youth, will take place in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy May 3-4 2023.

The Icelandic model is an evidence-based prevention method developed for the last 20 years in Iceland. The method is composed of ten steps extending from research to action on a local level and has been applied in the majority of municipalities in Iceland since 1998. The result has been noticeable, showing a steady decrease in the use of substances amongst Icelandic adolescents, currently measuring amongst the lowest in Europe. Substance use amongst Icelandic adolescents was one of the highest in Europe in 1998.
