Call for Speakers – World Drug Report 2026 Launch

Civil society representatives are invited to apply for speaking opportunities at the launch of the UNODC World Drug Report 2026, taking place on 26 June 2026 in Vienna and online, marking the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Organized by the Chair of the 69th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), the hybrid event—titled “World drug problem: persisting issues, new challenges, innovative responses”—will convene Member States, UN agencies, and key stakeholders to discuss evolving global drug trends and solutions.

The programme will include opening remarks by H.E. Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan and UNODC Executive Director Ghada Waly, alongside the presentation of the flagship World Drug Report 2026.

The Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (VNGOC) will nominate up to three civil society speakers to deliver short interventions, offering a platform to share community-level insights and innovative approaches.

Applications are open until 15 June 2026 (11:45 p.m. CEST).
