Ejikeme Ogueji

Ejikeme McBishops Ogueji is a substance use prevention practitioner advancing youth-centred and community-based prevention initiatives across Sub-Saharan Africa. His work focuses on strengthening prevention capacity, youth mentorship, and early risk identification in vulnerable communities, working at the intersection of prevention practice, youth development, and community-based prevention research. He serves as Training Engagement Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa at the International Substance Abuse and Addiction Coalition (ISAAC), supporting workforce development and the adaptation of evidence-informed prevention approaches for community and non-clinical settings. Ejikeme is the General Secretary of ISSUP Nigeria, contributing to professional learning and national dialogue on substance use prevention and recovery. He is the Founder and Programme Director of Reclaiming Futures Nigeria, a prevention initiative that developed the Dream-Catchers Programme, a mentorship model that strengthens youth resilience and supports substance use prevention among adolescents and young people.
