ISSUP Nigeria Participates in NDLEA Public Drug Exhibit Destruction Exercise

On Monday, 17 August 2026, ISSUP Nigeria joined key stakeholders at a public drug exhibit destruction exercise conducted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Strategic Command, at Old Navy Town in Ojo, Lagos.

The exercise formed part of the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking and reduce the availability of illicit substances. It also highlighted the importance of coordinated, multisectoral action in addressing Nigeria’s drug challenges.

Key stakeholders in attendance included Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), CON, OFR, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, and Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, Secretary to the Lagos State Government, who represented the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

The ISSUP Nigeria delegation was led by its National President, Dr Olajumoke Koyejo. Mrs Titilope Ogunluyi, Commander of Narcotics with the NDLEA and ISSUP Lagos State Branch Coordinator, was also present in her official capacity as part of the NDLEA team.

ISSUP Nigeria remains committed to strengthening collaboration with relevant stakeholders and advancing evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery and public awareness as part of a comprehensive response to substance use.
