Jose Luis Vazquez Martinez - 13 March 2020

Over March 9 to 12, some Humphrey Fellows from the Republic of Moldova, Namibia, the Slovak Republic, Tanzania, and Venezuela underwent the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) refresher course. All the participants have clinical experience related to the treatment of people with substance use disorders and will apply the content reviewed in their daily work.

Dear Facilitators,

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to you for great facilitation during ICAP Training at VCU. Your excellent pedagogical skills helped me to understand all concepts you introduced. The training has equipped me with many valuable skills beyond my expectations. All techniques and tactics you used in the training were very useful to comprehend complex ideas and relate to theories, guidelines, and practice. You have refined my professional for excellent clients’ support. It was very intensive teaching and learning class, but you make it enjoyable and friendly that we remained active all the time. In the future, I wish this training to be conducted in my country, Tanzania. I also, appreciate for kindness, and tireless support for learning materials and excellent clarifications of convoluted ideas.

Once again, thank you very much.

Thanks to all three trainers and to all who make possible this training to happen. It was an enriching experience. I hope I will be able to attend more UTC training in the future.
