Abdul-Latif Umar Mohammed holds a BSc in Earth Science from the University for Development Studies. He is a youth development advocate from Yendi in Northern Ghana.
He founded Yendi Youth Connect, whose mission is to empower young people through mentorship, education, and community programs. A major focus of Abdul Latif's work is tackling substance abuse among youth through school outreach, public awareness campaigns, and community dialogues that encourage healthier choices and responsible living. Abdul Latif is also involved in cultural preservation through Dagbon Media Foundation, where our initiatives use media, education, and cultural storytelling to inspire young people, while protecting the rich legacy of Dagbon for future generations.
