Brinda Singh Raikwar

Brinda is a mental health practitioner, interventionist and early-career researcher, trained in clinical psychology and working for over four years with the Addictions & Related Research Group at Sangath, a leading mental health research organisation in India.Her research and clinical interests span the integration of sports and mental health, the use of participatory and creative methods in intervention development, and innovations in culturally informed approaches to addressing youth mental health and substance use concerns. Her work focuses on designing, implementing and evaluating community-based mental health interventions, particularly those leveraging sports and peer-led models to improve access to care in resource-constrained settings. She is also experienced in training and supervising non-specialists to deliver interventions, and providing therapeutic care to adolescents and young adults across a range of mental health concerns.
