2025 marks another record year of achievement for ISSUP National Chapters. We would like to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for your hard work, commitment, and dedication. Despite a challenging start to the year, you showed up as you always do, holding the workforce together and delivering beyond expectations.
The network continued to grow with the re-establishment of ISSUP Brazil as a consortium of four organisations working collaboratively. We also welcomed the addition of ISSUP Korea and ISSUP Zambia. ISSUP USA also had its first phase launch, with next steps being to build relationships over the coming year.
ISSUP Indonesia hosted a landmark ISSUP 2025 event, bringing together a wide cadre of professionals, government agencies, NGOs, and international organisations.
In Africa, ISSUP Kenya co-hosted the Afri-Asia Drug Prevention & Treatment Summit, creating a unique intercontinental platform for knowledge exchange. In Europe, ISSUP Greece conducted a series of INEP Plus trainings. Across the Americas, key activities included the 22nd International Conference of Youth Integration Centers (CIJ) hosted by ISSUP Mexico, ISSUP Peru’s 3rd Annual Conference, and ISSUP El Salvador’s Annual ISSUP Week.
These highlights offer just a glimpse into the much broader scope of work carried out throughout the year. You are truly the footsteps of ISSUP around the world, and your efforts stand as clear evidence of ISSUP’s global impact.
As we look ahead, we are excited about further expanding the ISSUP network in the coming year, widening our scope of work, and strengthening collaboration across regions as we continue to build a skilled, connected, and evidence-driven substance use workforce.
