IEP Workshop Is Live: Eleven Cohorts, Five Languages, One Shared Goal

Prevention is powerful when it is done well.

ISSUP developed the Investing in Evidence-Based Prevention (IEP) workshop: a focused 5-hour learning experience for funders, policy-makers, and decision-makers who want to support prevention approaches that are practical, evidence-informed, and built to last.

The first of eleven IEP cohorts launched this June, bringing together participants to explore one key question: how do we know which prevention efforts are worth investing in?

Across two interactive sessions, IEP introduces the basics of prevention science, explains what evidence-based prevention looks like in real life, and challenges some of the common myths that can shape funding and policy decisions. Participants also explore useful tools, including a decision-making assessment checklist, to help them think more clearly about where resources can have the strongest impact.

Over the coming months, IEP will be delivered in English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic, helping ISSUP reach decision-makers across regions and languages.

With this launch, ISSUP is supporting a simple but important goal: helping those who fund and shape prevention make confident, informed choices that lead to stronger systems and better outcomes.
