The team of the Muskan Foundation participated in and led a session on “Consequences of Drug Abuse and the Role of Muskan Foundation in Drug Abuse Treatment” during the first and second Awareness Camp. The objective was to provide information on the consequences of addiction and the importance of education and family support. The session was organised by the District Child Protection Unit-DCPU (East & North-East Delhi) as per the direction of the Honorable Principal Magistrate JJB-IIIrd Delhi to organise an awareness camp in the areas of Seemapuri, Seelampur and Geeta Colony. These areas are vastly populated and most of the children involved in addiction had dropped out of school.
The first two camps were organised in Delhi at the office of the Pardarshita NGO (New Seemapuri). The other experts present were Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), Delhi Commission for Women, Member of Child Welfare of Committee, Dilshad Garden and Humana People to People.
