Alcohol + Energy Drinks May Make You Drink More

Alcohol and Energy DrinksResearch has shown that people tend to drink more when they consume alcohol combined with energy drinks. Mixing energy drinks and alcohol is known to reduce the feeling of drunkenness as the stimulants in energy drinks dampen the sedative effects of alcohol. Since people that drink Vodka Red Bull and similar mixtures tend not to be fully aware of their level of drunkenness, they may be at a higher risk of consuming more. A new study reaffirms the dangers of mixing alcohol and energy drinks. The study's participants that drank a mixture of alcohol and energy drinks felt a greater urge and desire to drink more compared to those that drank alcohol alone.
