Quality and the Workforce

ISSUP Quality in Treatment Network and ISSUP UK are pleased to present the upcoming Webinar on Quality and the Workforce. This Webinar looks at the role of the workforce in ensuring quality drug use disorder treatment services. It will explore this issue from a position of guidelines and quality standards; current issues in England; the role of nurses in all countries; a mapping a workforce (Scotland) and the challenges of implementing standards for medically assisted treatment and the role of staff with lived experience of substance use and recovery.

Participants will gain knowledge of;

  • International standards and workforce initiatives in drug use disorder workforce development
  • Current workforce issues in drug use disorder treatment in England
  • An example of a country workforce mapping and challenges of implementing new standards for medically assisted treatment
  • The role of nurses in substance use disorder treatment from IntNSA
