Webinar on Students Response to SUD

Over 2000 students from 10 Universities and colleges participated in a webinar on "Students' Response to Substance Use Disorder", hosted by Ecolink Institute on June 26 in connection with the International Day Against Drug Abuse. Dr.Thirumagal V, Global Master Trainer, took the session on the theme and gave a scientific presentation on how addiction progresses in one's life and what changes occur in the brain with intake of drugs. Students in large numbers from St.Aloysius University, A.J.Institute of Medical Sciences, Yenepoya University, Jyothi Nivas College, Bangalore, St.Claret's College, Christu Jayanthi College and delegates from foreign universities were some of the educational institutions that took part in the webinar. Dr.Thomas Scaria, Director of Ecolink Institute, explained about the theme of the UNODC that covers prevention, treatment, and recovery for all as well as a war against organized crimes associated with drugs.
The students in various Universities will be integrating preventive drug education as part of their syllabus in collaboration with the Ecolink Institute from this year onwards.
