ISSUP Kenya meeting with Women In Mental Health Interventions and Treatment (WIMIT)

ISSUP Kenya President Dr. Pamela Kaithuru represented us in a successful meeting with Women In Mental Health Interventions and Treatment (WIMIT). WIMT is made up of women who run facilities dealing with SUD's prevention and treatment, most of them aimed at supporting women. Deliberations included strengthening professionalism through trainings, capacity enhancement and networking. There was an opportunity for their members who had not enrolled as members with ISSUP  to do so.

The first cohort of Botswana trained Addiction Professionals

On the 15th February 2018 Botswana held a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of locally trained Internationally Certified Addiction Professionals (ICAP) in the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC). The event was officiated by the then Minister of Health and Wellness Honourable Dorcas Makgatho,  and graced by the United States of America Ambassador to Botswana, His Excellency Earl Miller as well as other delegates from both the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the United States Embassy.
