The INEP Plus Training has now reached its 5th cohort, marking an important milestone in our collective journey of strengthening evidence-based prevention capacity. Over the years, this program has steadily built momentum, equipping professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to transform prevention into a science-driven and impactful practice.
What began with a vision to strengthen local prevention has now grown into a platform with global reach. The 5th cohort proudly welcomed international participants from Bhutan, Zambia, Botswana, and Sri Lanka, alongside a diverse group from Malaysia. This rich cross-country representation brought fresh perspectives, strengthened dialogue, and highlighted the shared commitment across borders to reduce substance use and promote healthier communities.
Beyond knowledge transfer, INEP Plus has become a community of practice — where participants not only learn but also share their own cultural and professional experiences. The interactive discussions, reflections, and collective enthusiasm demonstrate that prevention is more than a curriculum; it is a movement of champions who believe in science, compassion, and collaboration.
The fact that INEP Plus has successfully run for five consecutive cohorts is testimony to its relevance, sustainability, and impact. Each participant leaves not only with tools but also with renewed confidence and purpose to apply prevention science in their unique contexts.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead with vision and determination. INEP Plus is not the end of the journey but a stepping stone toward building a regional and global network of prevention leaders. The story of five cohorts is one of growth, resilience, and hope — a story we are writing together with every participant, trainer, and partner.
