ISSUP Bahamas Launch INEP Plus Training
ISSUP Bahamas are thrilled to announce their first in-country INEP (Introduction to Evidence-Based Prevention) training, which will take place between 24 April and 31 July 2024.
The training will be delivered by Troy E Clarke I, ICAP Tx I and Lowena West in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Those participating will include personnel from the Royal Bahamas Police Force (Northern Division), the Grand Bahama Health Service and The National LEAD Institute.

ISSUP Bahamas Science of Addiction One-Day Workshop - 8 December 2023
Our free to attend 'Science of Addiction One-Day Workshop' hosted by ISSUP Bahamas will be held on Friday, 8 December 2023 from 10 am to 4 pm. The location will be at The American Corner, the University of the Bahamas (Located in the Harry C. Moore Library), Nassau, Bahamas.
Who can attend? Human Services Professionals, Social Workers, Police Officers, Defence Force Officers, Correctional Officers, Educators and Church Ministries Workers.
ISSUP Bahamas Workshop on The Science of Substance Use Disorder
ISSUP Bahamas held a one-day workshop on 25 August 2023 at the Police Training College in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The workshop aimed to facilitate a collaboration platform for diverse stakeholders to explore the multi-dimensional aspects of substance use challenges and develop effective strategies to address them.
The event commenced with an opening address by Senator Hon Kirkland Russell, Deputy Director of Urban Renewal for the Northern Bahamas.

ISSUP Bahamas Official Launch
The ISSUP Bahamas National Chapter was formally launched on 2 February 2023 at the University of the Bahamas. The theme for the launch was 'the dawn of a new era in addiction prevention, treatment and recovery'.
This in-person and online event was attended by a variety of organisations in the Bahamas, plus international attendance from CICAD and ISSUP Global.
