Workshop: Gender-specific treatment programs for substance use: Israel’s approach to women’s residential treatment

On February 9, 2021, the Executive Secretariat of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (ES-CICAD), in collaboration with Israel’s National Authority for Community Safety, organized a virtual workshop entitled, “Gender-specific treatment programs for substance use: Israel’s approach to women’s residential treatment”.  

The workshop provided a window for discussing the importance of developing detoxification, empowerment, and dual diagnosis programs for women, as well as for sharing Israel’s experience in operating residential treatment centers.
