On June 16, 2021, the Global Dialogue Program, an initiative launched jointly by CICAD/OAS, the African Union, and the Colombo Plan, organized a webinar entitled, Supporting Families in Recovery: Global Approaches in the Context of COVID-19.
This initiative brought together international experts in drug demand reduction to share successful experiences in strengthening programs and exchanging best practices among the African, Asian, Latin American, and Caribbean regions. 58 countries participated in the event.
Panelists included:
- Dr. Hendrée Jones, Professor, School of Medicine, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Dr. Martin Agwogie, Founder/Executive Director, Global Initiative on Substance Abuse, Nigeria
- Dr. Prapapun Chucharoen, Program Director, Addiction Studies, Mahidol University, Thailand
- Ms. Uki Atkinson, Research Analyst, National Council on Drug Abuse, Ministry of Health, Jamaica
