Be a part of groundbreaking research on healthy ageing as a Research Officer for the 'Beyond 50' cohort study. This exciting 5-year study aims to explore risk and protective factors associated with mental health and substance use in older adulthood. Join a team of dedicated postdoctoral and senior researchers funded by the National Centre for Healthy Ageing and the Ian Potter Foundation. In addition to contributing to this important study, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience in other ongoing research projects related to public health and substance use.

As a Research Officer, your responsibilities will include participant recruitment, data collection, and ensuring a compliant and safe research environment. You'll engage with participants, address queries, collect informed consent, conduct interviews (both face-to-face and via telephone) and enter data accurately.

We are seeking someone with a tertiary qualification in a relevant health or science field. Alternatively, substantial relevant skills and work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training will also be considered. Strong analytical, technical, and data analysis skills are required, along with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Experience in participant recruitment and data collection, especially through telephone and face-to-face interactions is highly desired, and demonstrated experience working with a qualitative data collection would be a plus.
