The Department of Emergency Medicine at is looking for a full-time Research Coordinator. As a Research Coordinator onsite at one of our primary care clinics, the role will be to coordinate several study tasks related to adolescent substance use prevention and brief intervention activities. The Research Coordinator will report to Drs. Deepa Camenga and Uche Aneni and also work closely with research collaborators at Partnership to End Addiction.

This position is funded by PCORI (Patient-Centered Outcome Research Institute) through September 2028. Duration of employment is limited to the duration of the grant. Those with a background in social science research and/or an interest in applying to graduate school in medical or behavioral sciences are encouraged to apply.

Principal Responsibilities: Recruit and consent adolescents and caregivers in pediatric primary care (PC) waiting areas by pitching a brief introduction to the study. Coordinate research activities with families, pediatricians, and other PC staff. Participate in provider training and fidelity monitoring activities, including on-site practice of study interventions. Communicate with study families, provide technical support as needed, and assist with additional tasks related to consenting participants and collecting data. Track study families to administer follow-up assessments. Attend research training and consultation meetings for PC staff. Participate in multi-site/multi-team meetings virtually and in person. Manage REDCap project database and track online study data. Coordinate collection of research data submitted by study families and pediatricians on hand-held tablets. Assist with cleaning and coordinating study data for data analysis.
