ISSUP are pleased to announce the recent delivery of INEP Plus refresher training to our National Chapters during February/March 2026. Two sessions were held in English and Spanish and provided a valuable opportunity to present an update. This included presenting changes to the process on how training is delivered, as well as presenting an update on the INEP Plus content. The aim of the refresh was to help National Chapters deliver INEP Plus in a simpler, clearer and more effective way.
The INEP Plus training course has been developed by ISSUP and the purpose is to add value to the existing INEP content, by providing training of Facilitators from National Chapters, who then offer INEP Plus courses in their own country for beginners in prevention. This helps to address their understanding of evidence-based prevention and understand how they play their role as stakeholders in prevention. To date, over 15 National Chapters have undertaken INEP Plus in their own countries, with many more planned over the coming months.
ISSUP would like to thank our National Chapters for attending the session. In addition, thank you to those who delivered the session: Rasha Abi Hana (ISSUP Scientific Support Coordinator), Barbara Correa (ISSUP National Chapters Coordinator), José Luis Benitez (INEP Plus Master Trainer) and Kirsty Fitzpatrick (ISSUP National Chapters Coordinator).
