Ecolink Institute hosts WISE training for addiction professionals

Ecolink Institute, an approved training provider of the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Program, launched the WISE training with a webinar on “Special Needs of Women in Recovery” addressed by Aditi Ghanekar, a senior trainer on March 8.

The course was launched in connection with the International Women’s Day celebrations, which also awarded two outstanding women and honored the recent ICAP credentialed students.

WISE course is a specialized curriculum on the treatment of women with SUD, and it deals with Clinical care of women with substance use disorders in course 1.

Women with substance use disorders face distinct treatment needs that differ significantly from men. This specialized course equips you with evidence-based strategies to identify, assess, and deliver gender-responsive care that optimizes outcomes and sustains recovery.

26 students who have completed the basic course on UTC are enrolled in the course, which is coordinated by the Ecolink Institute. Ms. Aditi Ghanekar is the chief trainer for this course, assisted by Devika Rani and Shalini Sagar. The classes will begin on Tuesday, 10 March, and there are 4 more seats available.
