Dr. Julia Chen-Sankey is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH). She earned her Master of Public Policy in 2012 from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and her Ph.D. degree in Behavioral and Community Health in 2018 from the University of Maryland School of Public Health. Dr. Chen-Sankey is an experienced social and behavioral science investigator with research interests at the intersection of tobacco control and health equity using both community-and population-based research methods. Her research involves investigating the predictors and patterns of tobacco product use (especially flavored tobacco use) among vulnerable populations such as youth, young adults, racial and ethnic minorities, and low-income groups.
