The University of Texas at Austin, College of Education is seeking a senior faculty member (Associate or Full Professor) in the area of Prevention Science focusing on individuals at-risk for poor health and/or education outcomes in family, school, and/or community settings. This unique college-wide faculty search is designed to attract a scholar who will add to the college’s strong academic and research programs in prevention and education and health disparities and may bring research expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Social determinants of education and/or health disparities
  • Community-level influences on health behaviour
  • School violence prevention
  • Culturally responsive behavioural interventions to address school discipline disparities
  • Development and implementation of equity-focused social-emotional learning interventions in schools
  • Family-centred interventions to support positive education and health outcomes
  • Healthy behaviour and stress coping interventions (e.g., physical activity, emotional regulation, etc.) among vulnerable populations
  • Immigrant health and education disparities
