Cannabis use is increasing nationwide, and for some people it can lead to health, behavioral, and social challenges known as cannabis use disorder (CUD). This Advisory offers guidance for healthcare professionals who care for people at every stage of life, from adolescence through pregnancy and into older adulthood. It explains how cannabis use and CUD affect health differently as people age and that risk factors, symptoms, treatment needs, and health risks vary by developmental stage.
