Call for Abstracts – 4th International Symposium on Drug-Related Studies 2026

The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB), Sri Lanka, warmly invites researchers, academics, policymakers, practitioners, healthcare professionals, law enforcement officials, students, and development partners to submit abstracts for the 4th International Symposium on Drug-Related Studies, to be held in November 2026.

The symposium will be held under the theme "One Nation, One Response: Advancing Collective Action and Scientific Evidence to Address Drug Challenges." Building on the success of the previous three international symposiums, this event will serve as a dynamic platform for sharing cutting-edge research, innovative practices, and evidence-informed policies that strengthen both drug demand and supply reduction efforts.

The scientific programme will feature four thematic tracks covering prevention and community engagement, treatment , rehabilitation and recovery , law enforcement and justice sector responses, and forensic science, laboratory services, and evidence-based drug monitoring. Researchers are encouraged to submit original studies, policy analyses, programme evaluations, and best practice experiences that contribute to advancing effective responses to emerging drug challenges.

  • Abstract Submission Opens: 15 June 2026

  • Submission Deadline: 30 September 2026

  • Notification of Acceptance: 15 October 2026

  • Symposium: November 2026

The symposium will be conducted in a hybrid format, enabling international participants to present either online or in person, while local presenters will participate onsite.
