Roghat Falme Robart

Roghat Falme Robart is a mental health advocate and community leader from Tanzania, dedicated to promoting youth mental health and preventing substance use. He founded Akili Platform Tanzania, leading grassroots initiatives that focus on mental health awareness, peer education, and stigma reduction, reaching thousands of young people across regions including Tabora. His work emphasizes culturally responsive, community-driven approaches that uphold human rights and empower communities to address mental health and substance use challenges. Roghat is also a member of the Nivishe Fellowship Cohort 6, where he has developed leadership skills in mental health advocacy and cross-sector collaboration. Through this fellowship, he has designed scalable programs that strengthen youth resilience, encourage early help-seeking behaviors, and engage communities in mental health promotion. His work combines research-informed strategies with hands-on community engagement, aiming to create sustainable, locally owned solutions to mental health and substance use challenges in Tanzania.
