ISSUP UK Launch Event
International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on 31 August each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have died or had a permanent injury as a result of drug overdose.
Eliminating hepatitis C in prisons will be a crucial setting if World Health Organization (WHO) elimination targets are to be achieved. For World Hepatitis Day, we’ll hear from experts about the evidence that treatment as prevention in prisons works, and how it can be rolled out in Australia to have the most effective impact.
The Symposium will showcase the wide variety and depth of research and programs at NDARC, as well as highlight the work of our peer organisations, facilitate dynamic discussions, and provide opportunities to create new connections.
