The College of Pharmacy is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team.

A Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research in the Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Carolina. The lab is interested in studying the neurodevelopmental mechanisms underlying addiction. The Postdoctoral Fellow will use a combination of state-of-the-art methodologies spanning animal behavior, in vivo surgical techniques, molecular/cellular approaches, and extracellular vesicle analysis in pre-clinical rodent models. Our goal is to understand how neurodevelopmental processes and extracellular vesicle-mediated cell communication shape the neural circuits that drive addictive behaviors, with the aim of revealing promising targets for future treatments of addiction and related disorders.
