S.M. Abdullah Al Reza is a public health professional, harm reduction advocate, and a person in long-term recovery living with HIV from Bangladesh. He currently serves as Program Manager at Ashokta Punarbashan Sangstha (APOSH) under the Global Fund-supported project. With over 20 years of progressive experience in HIV prevention, harm reduction, and key population (KP) programming, he has worked extensively with people who inject drugs (PWID), sex workers, and other marginalized communities. He began his career in 2006 as an Organizer-cum-Counselor under a UNICEF-supported HIV prevention project and subsequently advanced to leadership roles including DIC Coordinator, Center Manager, and Project Manager under Global Fund programs. He also contributed to prison-based interventions with CARE Bangladesh supported by UNODC. Abdullah holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and is actively engaged with NPUD, NAPUD, and INPUD networks, advocating for rights-based and evidence-informed drug policies.
