Mr. Samuel Kwakye is the Mental Health Coordinator for Ga East Municipality and serves as an adjunct lecturer at Health Concern Ghana. He holds an MPhil in Nursing from the University of Ghana, Legon, a BSc in Nursing from Central University and a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (Distinction). He is also a trained lay counsellor specializing in marriage, family life, and sex therapy.
Mr. Kwakye is a member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) and has extensive experience in addiction care, serving as an addiction counsellor for Chosen Rehabilitation and Iris Place Rehabilitation & Drug Treatment Center. He also serves as a clinical preceptor for the Nurses Training College, Pantang, and as an external examiner for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. With over 11 years of teaching and clinical experience, he has worked at Urgent Care Hospital, GAEC Hospital, Taifa Polyclinic, and Bloomingdale Medical Center.
