The ASAM Criteria 4th Edition: What’s In, What’s Out, What’s Different, What’s Not

Over two days, participants will engage in six hours of interactive education daily, focusing on practical applications in clinical settings. Topics include foundational knowledge on using the ASAM Criteria, designing ASAM Criteria-based treatment programs, ethical considerations in applying placement criteria, balancing best practices with client preferences, and emphasizing shared decision-making and person-centered care, including when working with legal system-involved and other coerced clients. This training will include up to 3 hours of ethics training.

This virtual training will be presented by NAADAC Executive Director Terrence D. Walton, MSW, and each training day will run from 11:00 am ET to 6:00 pm ET, with breaks.
