Bi-Monthly Webinar: ISSUP Nigeria Knowledge Update Series

The first session of ISSUP Nigeria's Knowledge Update Series took place on Thursday 30th July 2020. It focused on experiences and challenges in delivering drug demand reduction interventions during the COVID-19 pandemic, capacity building on evidence-based substance abuse prevention and treatment interventions, and the way forward.


A panel discussion was presented, during which each of the panelists had 5 minutes to make general remarks on the topic as it affects their institutions. This was followed by a question and answer session with attendees.

Dr. Oliver Stolpe

UNODC Country Representative in Nigeria

He has been serving as UNODC’s Representative in Nigeria since late 2018. Joined UNODC in 1999 as an anti-corruption expert and helped in establishing its Global Programme against Corruption as well as its Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative where he served as Senior Legal Advisor from 2012-2014. Since then, he has served in different capacities. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Würzburg in Germany.
