The Shelter Youth and Community Network (The Shelter NGO), approved Training Provider for the Colombo Plan Drug  Advisory Programme (DAP) conducted her maiden training on the Universal Prevention Curriculum-Core Course for prevention practitioners and aspiring prevention in Lagos, Nigeria comprising participants from two nations (Nigeria and Ghana)

The six-day training of practitioners on the Universal Prevention Curriculum of the Colombo Plan DAP  facilitated by two trainers Maria Ilugbuhi (UPC global master trainer) and Dr. Oluseyi Odewale (UPC national trainer, Nigeria) aims at providing knowledge, skills, and competencies to prevention practitioners so that they have a better understanding about the key elements of evidence-based (EB) prevention and about the most effective evidence based prevention interventions that are currently available as well as current evidence based practices in the prevention of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs).
