The Correlation Between Age With Drugs Abuse In Rehabilitation Center Of National Narcotics Board Lido 2019

The research is motivated by the results of a preliminary study at the Rehabilitation Center of National Narcotics Board Lido which shows the existence of drug abuse with a wide range of age groups at the age of 12-60 years and various types of use, namely Methampetamine, THC, MDMA, Benzodiazepam, Opiates, and Other Drugs.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of age with drug abuse at the National Narcotics Agency Lido Rehabilitation Center in 2019.
This type of research is descriptive analytic with a quantitative approach and with a retrospective design and analyzed with the Chi Square test. Data collection was conducted retrospectively on client data for January − June 2019 by using secondary data and analyzing the rehabilitation records of. The sampling technique used was a total sampling of 290 respondents and the data measuring instrument used was a checklist sheet.
The results of the distribution of age frequency and drug abuse on clients at the Rehabilitation Center of National Narcotics Board Lido in 2019, aged 12-25 years were 146 respondents (50.3%) and the majority of clients misused Methampetamine as many as 233 respondents (80.3%). The results of the analysis obtained from 290 respondents there were 130 respondents at the age of 26-45 years, and as many as 121 respondents (51.9%) at that age misused Methampetamine.
Statistical test results using the Chi Square Test obtained ρ value of 0,000. A value of ρ value <0.05 means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which shows that there is a significant relationship between age and drug abuse at the National Rehabilitation Center for Lido National Narcotics in 2019. Suggestions from researchers is expected that rehabilitation staff provide counseling about the correlation of age with drug abuse using interesting media such as posters and leaflets.
