UPC 10 Co Training in Sri Lanka

With the financial support of the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme (CPDAP), and in collaboration with the Preventive Education and Training Division of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB), the UPC 10 Co Course was successfully conducted for 22 substance use disorder (SUD) preventive educators in Sri Lanka. The training took place at the Hilton Colombo from 23rd January to 27th February 2026, strengthening national efforts in preventive education and capacity building against drug abuse.

All 22 participating substance use disorder (SUD) preventive educators passed the post-test examination, achieving an impressive average score of over 16. The participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the sessions, which were conducted by Pradeep Kumara Koholanegedara (UPC, URC, and UTC trainer) together with Supun Wewalagedara (UPC and URC trainer). Special appreciation is extended to the Colombo Plan, Director DAP, and Coordinator Ayodya Abeywardhana for their invaluable support in making this programme a success.
