ISSUP Lagos State Branch Conducts School-Based Prevention Outreach at Onike Junior High School

On 18 February 2026, the ISSUP Lagos State Branch carried out a school-based substance use prevention outreach at Onike Junior High School, Sabo-Yaba, as part of its ongoing commitment to youth-focused prevention and early intervention.

The interactive session was designed to educate students about the risks associated with drug abuse, strengthen informed decision-making, and reinforce the importance of staying focused on their academic and personal goals. Through open and engaging discussions, students were encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences, particularly around peer pressure and the challenges young people face in making healthy choices.

The programme was attended and supported by key representatives of the ISSUP Lagos State Branch, including:

  • Dr. Peter Adenibuyan, South-West Coordinator

  • Mrs. Titi Ogunluyi, State Coordinator

  • Mrs. Mary Miller-Bubor, State Public Relations Officer

This outreach reflects ISSUP’s continued dedication to empowering young people with accurate information, practical life skills, and the confidence to make healthy, responsible choices.

By engaging students early, ISSUP Nigeria is helping to build a stronger foundation for prevention and promoting safer, healthier futures for young people across Lagos State.
