This webinar aims to bring together Ukrainian experts and the international community of mental health professionals to discuss the current state and key issues of providing psychiatric care to the population using psychoactive substances during wartime. The war has a negative impact both on the very structure of the provision of psychiatric care and on the mental health of the person who needs it. War has a long-term negative impact on the organization of mental health care. The occupation of cities, damage and destruction of infrastructure, as a result of massive artillery and missile attacks by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, had a significant impact on the provision of assistance to the population using psychoactive substances and on the structure of psychiatric assistance in general.
The reports of the speakers of the webinar will be devoted to the specifics of the implementation of projects and national programs of support for opioid substitution therapy (ОST) and HIV in the conditions of war in Ukraine.
