A pesar de ser una droga legal, de fácil acceso, es claro que el alcohol tiene un potencial adictivo, dentro de la clasificación por efectos en el Sisteman Nervioso Central, provoca falta de coordinación, se presenta un lenguaje desarticulado, dificultades en la visión, confusiones mentales, hay deshinibición social y del sueño; y por tanto, conlleva consecuencias en varias áreas, y esto también dependerá de la frecuencia y cantidades del consumo, pero justo, es importante saber todos los datos anteriores, ya que a pesar de ser una sustancia legal, no significa que no sea de mayor o menor...

Latest quality standard published sets out how health and care services can improve the diagnosis, assessment, and prevention of foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD).

The quality standard highlights five key areas for improvement:

  • Pregnant women are given advice throughout pregnancy not to drink alcohol.
  • Pregnant women are asked about their alcohol use throughout their pregnancy, and this is recorded.
