Justus Otieno

Justus Otieno is a dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist with over 15 years of professional experience in healthcare service delivery. He currently serves the Methadone Assisted Therapy (MAT) clinic in Shimo La Tewa Prison, where he specializes in the dispensing and management of methadone treatment for clients with opioid use disorder. Justus holds a degree in Community Health, which has strengthened his commitment to delivering patient-centered care and promoting preventive health strategies within vulnerable populations. His work at the MAT clinic involves safe dispensing practices, patient counseling, and supporting adherence to treatment, all of which contribute to improved health outcomes and harm reduction. With a strong passion for community health advocacy, Justus  engages in initiatives aimed at improving access to healthcare services, reducing stigma associated with drug use, and promoting public health awareness. He is particularly committed to advancing harm reduction programs and supporting efforts toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Kenya..
