2027 Virtual NIDA International Forum

Held annually, the Forum supports and fosters global collaboration by bringing together substance use researchers to share scientific findings and exchange knowledge, highlighting the breadth and quality of research conducted worldwide. Participants have the opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn about substance use and addiction research issues in different countries, and explore NIDA-supported fellowships and programs that facilitate international research collaboration.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) International Program invites plenary session proposals for the virtual 2027 NIDA International Forum, to be held on June 16–17, 2027.

Proposed sessions should advance the exchange of scientific information on substance use and addiction research and align with the priorities outlined in NIDA’s 2022-2026 Strategic Plan. The International Program welcomes timely, engaging proposals that inform research and strengthen global collaboration.

Review the Plenary Session Guidelines for additional information and instructions on accessing the proposal management system and submitting a proposal.

Deadline: November 22, 2026
