Summary of key findings

The evolving youth use of e-cigarettes in Britain is monitored using the ASH Smokefree GB survey of 11-18 year olds 2013-2022 (see Appendix 2 for methodology), in the context of changes in tobacco use and the regulation of e-cigarettes (see Appendix 1). We present the results for 11-17 year olds separately from 18 year olds. It is an offence to sell e-cigarettes to children under 18 in the United Kingdom.

The effects of smoking tobacco and the millions of deaths that take place, as a result, are widely known. Il termine trauma vicario (Perlman & Saakvitne, 1995), a volte chiamato anche affaticamento della compassione, è l'ultimo termine che descrive il fenomeno generalmente associato al "costo della cura" per gli altri (Figley, 1982). Altri termini usati per la fatica della compassione sono:

  • stress traumatico secondario (Stemm, 1995, 1997)

  • vittimizzazione secondaria (Figley, 1982)
