- No government unit responsible for treatment services for substance use disorder alone. Rather, SUD is incorporated into that which oversees mental health provision. Treatment is thus integrated with mental health care.

- Mental health services are those which are most often used by people with drug and/or alcohol disorders
- No substitution maintenance therapy for opioid dependence. However it is available for alcohol withdrawal
- Impatient/outpatient detoxification provisions for drug and alcohol use
Prevention Services
- Government unit responsible for prevention of drug use disorders
- Prevention initiatives largely funded by Federal Government
- Prevention services available via mass media channels, school-based programmes and community-based programmes
- No needle exchange programme
