digiPREV: Where Theory Meets Practice

The Czech national IPREV (Interactive Platform for Mental Health Support and Risk Behaviour Prevention) platform, which supports mental health and the prevention of risky behaviour, is becoming an important tool used by more and more schools and providers of prevention programmes. However, there has long been a strong need for better evaluation and research in this area.

To address this, a collaboration was formed between the First Faculty of Medicine and the Hussite Theological Faculty of Charles University. Together, they created the Digital Prevention Marketplace (digiPREV), an innovative online platform that supports research and evaluation in prevention. Its goal is to connect academic expertise with real-world practice and to strengthen cooperation across different fields.

The digiPREV platform connects theory with real practice and brings together various disciplines such as social pedagogy, addictology, social work and more. Prevention is a highly relevant social topic that spans multiple fields and has its own terminology. To ensure effective collaboration between students, academics and professionals, we need more than enthusiasm — a shared understanding and clear coordination are essential.

This is where digiPREV comes into play. It provides access to practitioners who offer current topics and support students in gathering real data from the field. These experts, coming from state, non-state, non-profit or private institutions, contribute their valuable hands-on experience.

The project, "AA-31-25: Strengthening capacities for the evaluation and quality of preventive programs in the Czech Republic through the networking of care providers and academic institutions with the support of artificial intelligence" is implemented with the financial support of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic.
