Seagulls Flock Organization, Inc., in partnership with the Quezon City Local Government Unit, the International Problem Gambling and Gaming Certification Organization ( IPGGC ), and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. ( PAGCOR ), presents the upcoming 3rd International Conference on Responsible Gambling and Gaming Addiction in the Philippines.
This event is a critical gathering for regulators, local government units, public health officials, treatment professionals, industry leaders, academe, researchers, community advocates, and people with lived experience. It will serve as an operational roadmap for addressing the increasing prevalence of digital gambling and gaming, focusing on the distinction between recreational use and problematic behaviors.
Conference Theme
The Conference theme, “ Gambling and Gaming: Navigating the Risks between Amusement and Addiction,” addresses the crucial and often blurred line between recreational activities and problematic behaviors in the digital age. It recognizes that both gambling and gaming can offer benefits like stress relief and cognitive skill development, but also pose risks such as addiction, physical health issues, and negative impacts on social and emotional well-being. The theme highlights the need for awareness and strategies to manage these risks, involving the public, professionals, and policymakers to foster a balanced approach to land-based and digital entertainment.
Please submit a 300-word abstract via our online portal at info [at] seagullsflock [dot] org. Abstracts should include the title, author(s) with affiliations, and a clear summary of the research, findings, and relevance to the conference theme, proposed format ( parallel presentation, skill-building workshop or poster presentation). Proposals should be submitted on or before January 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM GMT to info [at] seagullsflock [dot] org. Please use the subject: 3rd ICRGGA CONFERENCE PROPOSAL.
