To assist jurisdictions with planning and implementing medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) programs in correctional facilities, the National Council for Behavioral Health (National Council) and Vital Strategies developed a toolkit providing key action steps, resources, and tools to facilitate the adoption of MOUD in jails and prisons. Toolkit development was supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Bloomberg Philanthropies. This webinar provides an overview of the toolkit, including action steps, tools, and resources, and best and emerging practices. Webinar attendees will also hear directly from three experts who have successfully implemented MOUD in their correctional facilities.

Learning Objectives:
- Understand research and practice for the treatment of people with opioid use disorder who are incarcerated.
- Navigate operational barriers and implement evidence-based practices that reduce the risk of overdose and recidivism.
- Develop a care continuum that includes screening, treatment, recovery services, and links to community care.
- Identify existing resources and tools to guide implementation efforts.
