We are excited to offer the first UK Introduction to Evidence-Based Prevention (INEP)-Plus course!
The course is the result of a collaboration between Charles University (CUNI) in Prague (development of the online learning materials), the ISSUP UK Chapter (hosted by Middlesex University) and the University of West London, which provides the INEP certified trainers Assoc. Prof Raffaella Marghe Milani and Dr Luisa Perrino.
What is the aim of the course?
The course aims to introduce the key principles of prevention science and substance use prevention interventions in different contexts (Schools, Families, Community, Social-Media and Workplace).
The course will provide the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with people from different sectors and share the same commitment for prevention.
Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at anyone who is interested in playing their part in prevention. Attendees may work in the policy, treatment, education, family, community, or workplace sectors.
Are there any entry criteria?
Places are limited to 20 attendees maximum. Applicants will be accepted based on first come first come first served basis , as well as their ability to commit to:
- At least 80% attendance on the dates and times on offer
- Submitting their contact and role details and answering a question on why they want to be on the Course.
- Technical capacity to join the online course via Zoom.
Course details and dates:
Due to this being offered as a pilot Course there will be no charge.
Please note that in-between each facilitated session, participants will be required to complete the reading and online learning activities provided by Charles University (CUNI)INEP.
