INTRODUCTION:
The European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC) and The Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) are paradigms of the efforts to achieve an international standardised training for drug demand reduction. Both curricula are based on evidence-based knowledge and practice and follow the quality standards established by important international institutions such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA). In addition to training directly aimed at professionals...

To address this gap, this study explored how youth perceive and experience substance use services in British Columbia (BC), Canada.
Methods
Participatory action research methods were used by partnering with BC youth (under the age of 30) from across the...

EMCDDA
A new handy mini guide by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) on evidence-based policymaking for prevention of drug use in schools and educational settings.
Focusing treatments on specific settings where problems may develop is an important approach to implementing health and social responses to drug problems. As a result, the EMCDDA's Health and social solutions to drug problems: a European handbook offers a series of mini guides on the subject. The agency is releasing the first three mini guidelines in this bundle this week, which look at business, community, and recreational environments. Mini-guides on inventions in prisons and schools will be published soon.

The EMCDDA launched a new Prevention toolkit, bringing together all of its key prevention-related materials to date. Part of the agency’s toolkit series, this new resource is aimed at anyone involved in shaping decisions, opinions and policies in Europe in the science-based prevention of substance use.
