The International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) are pleased to announce the formation of a pool of Global Trainers with the support of the U.S. State Department Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL).
The Global Training Program has two objectives:
- Build training skills in current Drug Demand Reduction experts and current trainers from around the world. This skill development will be based on adult learning theory and will assist experts to deliver engaging, applicable and sustainable learning.
- Ensure a consistent level of substantive drug demand reduction knowledge, including but not limited to prevention of drug use and treatment of drug use disorders, related International Standards on Drug Use Prevention and, International Standards for Treatment of Drug Use Disorders, and all other aspects on the scientifically based continuum of care.
The next training will take place in Spanish from August 9 to October 1.
