UNODC Internship Opportunity

The Advocacy Section, Public Affairs and Policy Support Branch, Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) internship is for a period of three months, with possibility of extension up to six months, starting in November 2022. 

The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned. Subject to the COVID-19 situation in Austria and in the country of the selected candidate, the internship may have to be carried out partially or fully remotely. 

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background; the intern's assigned office as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Translate UNODC web pages, new web stories, social media content, and campaign materials into Spanish and upload on relevant platforms 
• Proofread press releases translated into Spanish
• Assist in the management of UNODC Twitter accounts 
• Prepare monthly reports for website and social media analytics 
• Conduct research relevant to the work of UNODC 
• Compile and disseminate daily press clippings on UNODC and its mandate areas 
• Maintain social media and media database
• Perform other duties within the communications team as assigned.
